Following in the tracks left by those who came before
Here at Garling Land Surveying, LLC, we take pride in remembering where we came from as we look toward the future. A big part of surveying is "following in the footsteps" of the surveyors who came before us, and we love diving into the history and monuments they left behind. It is our desire to leave lasting tracks for future generations to follow.
Garling Land Surveying, LLC started in 2026 by Weston C. Garling (RPLS #6805) after acquiring assets from Alexander Surveying, a local surveying company owned by Glen S. Alexander and that served Austin and surrounding counties for almost forty years. Weston graduated from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in 2016 with a degree in Geographic Information Science. Immediately following graduation, he became a full-time employee of Alexander Surveying and began the process of obtaining his license as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor. He passed the Surveyor in Training exam in 2017 and began to accrue hours toward his RPLS license. Toward the end of 2019, Weston passed the RPLS exam and completed the final step toward receiving his license.
Weston and the rest of the team is dedicated to providing the best service possible to the community. With experience totaling over 70 years in the field of surveying, the team has seen just about everything but is always open to learning something new and improving the trade.
